Optical Projector (Optical Comparator)

An optical projector, or optical comparator, projects an enlarged image of a test sample onto a screen which also has a calibrated scale or reticle. Length dimensions and sdrew thread profiles can be measured by directly comparing the projected image to the scale or by using the stage movement to align specific points on the image with reference points on the screen.
